Saddleback United and Joy Fawcett joining SoCal Athletic

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (January 17, 2013) – SC Athletic, a premier Southern California youth soccer club, is excited to announce the addition of Saddleback United to the SC Athletic family of teams. Beginning immediately, Saddleback United’s six girls’ teams and coaches will begin operating under the SC Athletic name. With the addition of Saddleback United 6 girls' teams, SC Athletic-Girls now offers competitive soccer development in Orange County, Calif. with more than 20 teams of girls age 8-17.
In addition to six new teams, Walt Fawcett and Joy Fawcett from Saddleback United will also join SC Athletic in administrative roles. Walt will be added to the Board of Directors to assist with club administration while Joy will bring her very successful playing and coaching experience to the club as an advisor and trainer.
“The addition of Saddleback United, Walt and Joy Fawcett to SC Athletic will expand our already excellent field resources, coaching network, and recruiting efforts,” said Martin Lippens, SC Athletic-Girls President and Director of Coaching. “This gives us the ability to field more competitive teams and further strengthens our position as a premier youth soccer club in Orange County.”
