Girls U17 - Congratulations to Coach Cory's U17 team which finished Runner-Up at this year's State Cup Championship. By reaching the finals, they also automatically qualified for the Regionals in Colorado. Outstanding job ladies and good luck at Regionals.

Girls U14 - The Girls U14 team made it all the way to the round of 16, which they reached with an impressive 3:0 win over Saddleback. In their R16 game they played another great game and could only be stopped by a very questionable pk that turned out to be the diffeence in the game that they lost with a final score of 1:0. Congratulations to a great season ladies.

Tryouts for this team for the 2012/13 are going on right now, so contact coach Martin for more info.

Girls U15 - Congrats also to the Girls U15 team, led by coach Cory, who reached the final 32 and will continue their State Cup play next week in Lancaster.

The "Bundesliga Academy" and SC Athletic are taking a girls' team to Germany this coming summer. The team will be made up of U14-16 girls from the club and possibly players from outside the club as well.

Player development, technically, mentally and physically, comes from experienced coaching, a stable environment and a progressive soccer program. Development of players, including winning, must be age-appropriate, and handled correctly, but has very little to do with a club's League format. It is a balance between a player's family time and time on the field, which cannot be effective without respect for both. We all have a responsibility to help players improve, and as coaches, a responsibility to deliver.

The coaching staff at SC Athletic is multi-cultural; a combination of State licensed coaches and educators, former professionals, and individuals with overseas experience. Player development is driven by coaches with the soccer knowledge and life skills to know what is needed at all levels, and we have that.

High School soccer, with it's differing playing environment, large fan bases, close media coverage, and a responsibility to represent communities and produce results, prepares players for the rigors of College and Professional life, and we have coaching representation at four High Schools.

Futbol Club Irvine is holding tryouts right now for all girls ages U9 through U19 (2012-13 season).

Dec. 19, 2011 - The Girls U13 ended a great first half of the season with a very strong performance at the FC Blades Tourney. They surprised everybody by beating a strong Pateadores team 2:1 to reach the final. They played another great game in the final against the San Diego Surf, who at the end won with a score of 1:0. Great Job Ladies!!!
